What are your core values?
Identifying and documenting a company’s core values is essential. It is part of the company structure that drives culture. Core Purpose is the foundation the business sits upon, and the core values are the pillars that hold the structure together.
Working with high-performing clients, as I do in my coaching practice, I know this is essential to creating the cohesive team needed to build velocity and momentum to drive toward our long-term goals.
Once the core values are established and documented, they drive everything. My clients use them to make hiring decisions. You see, a high-performing A-Player will align with your core values. You need them to believe in the things you believe in. When you bring in team members aligned with your core values, everything is so much easier.
I believe in this concept so much that long ago, I established core values for my company. They are as follows:
C – Caring – We care about People, Teams, Clients, Community
R – Relationships – Deep connections with clients, partners, and people. Not transactions.
E – Empower – Empowering people and teams to live the lives they are dreaming of.
S – Service – Just serve… pour yourself into others
T – Trust – Earn it, Live it, Give it
Since my core values drive essentially everything… it was with deep pride and humility that I recently was awarded the Core Values Champion award at the annual Coach Connect meeting of Tip Top in my Metronomics coaching community.
Coaches, I am honored to carry this award on behalf of all of us and will live it every day. Thank you!
