Friends come and go, and then there are those that last a lifetime…
Today, I want to celebrate my dear friend Juliet Laycoe. Juliet was recently named the new Superior Court Commissioner for Clark County, Washington.
Juliet and I have been friends for over 20 years. We met at the Rotary Club of Vancouver, where we worked together on several foundation boards and numerous community service committees. We also were part of a professional mastermind group for several years.
Over the years, I have gotten to know Juliet personally, regularly met for lunch, and shared the ups and downs of business. I watched her transition out of one law firm, start a new one with a partner, and then take that firm and transition it to her own firm, where she positively impacted hundreds of families.
She also supported me on my personal growth journey and was a supportive confidant at a time when I needed support.
I am proud to call her my friend and even more proud when she announced that she was chosen as the next Superior Court Commissioner. I cannot think of another person more deserving. Here we are, my wife and I, celebrating with her on the day of her swearing-in.
Congratulations, Juliet, and I look forward to many more lunches, trading war stories, and hearing the latest tales on the raising of Ben and Abby alongside Tom Hagley Jr., MMC.
