Are you a leader of a thriving enterprise or organization? How did you start?
I was inspired by the humble nature of Lynsi Snyder, heiress to In-N-Out, when I read this article on her humble beginnings – slicing onions, preparing tomatoes, and separating lettuce leaves.
I love that she insisted on learning the business from the ground up, including standing in line to “apply” for a job at a newly opened In-N-Out location. Even though she effectively owned the organization at the time.
She was determined to earn respect on her own merit rather than relying on her family name. Under her leadership since 2010, when she was just 27, In-N-Out has expanded to 400 locations, including a new location under construction here in my hometown of Clark County WA.
Additionally, she has maintained a relatively low price point for her product despite rising costs, particularly in California, and upheld its California culture.
I love these amazing self-made success stories. How did you become successful? What were your humble beginnings? I would love to hear from you.
