Client Book Launch: “Medicine at 50 Below” by Mary Ellen Doty

It is my distinct honor to share the launch of Mary Ellen Doty‘s new book, Medicine at 50 Below.

Mary Ellen is both a client and a friend. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside her and the team at Wilderness Medical Staffing, a company she founded with extraordinary vision and resolve. The work they do in some of the most remote and demanding environments in the world is nothing short of remarkable. And the heart behind that work is captured powerfully in this book.

This is a story of grit, resilience, courage, and purpose. It is about stepping into the unknown, building something that matters, and persevering when the cost is high. It is about service, leadership, and conviction.

I still remember when Mary Ellen first shared what felt like a bold, maybe even “crazy” idea: writing this book. I’ve had a front-row seat to the discipline and determination it took to bring it to life. I began reading an advance copy on a cross-country flight. When I landed, I wasn’t finished, and I couldn’t wait. I went home, sat in my comfy chair, and read until the last page. It’s that compelling.

I am purchasing copies for all my CEO clients and strongly encouraging them to read it. I’m also sharing it with my adult children and family members. This is the kind of story that reminds us what is possible when purpose and perseverance align.

Pick up a copy of Medicine at 50 Below. You will walk away inspired and, more than likely, with tears in your eyes.

Congratulations, Mary Ellen. I am incredibly proud of you and honored to have been part of the journey.
