Have you discovered your team’s Core Purpose?
It is important to stay grounded and connected to your Core Purpose as your business evolves. We can get caught up in the next best thing or the tyrannical attention to the day’s urgency which can be distracting.
In my client planning sessions, I always connect them with their core purpose at the start of every planning session to remind them of who they are and why they are here. Because I work with a lot of mid-size entrepreneurial companies, I usually have the Founder of the business on the team.
I love the perspective that the Founders of entrepreneurial companies impart during our sessions, it is so valuable.
As you can see in this picture from a recent planning session with Wilderness Medical Staffing, their Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Mary Ellen Doty, is sharing some wisdom with the team. This team is amazing and is performing at the top of their game. Great CEO leadership, 100% A-Players, and strong trust and cohesion are just a few of the reasons they perform well, but having the founder’s wisdom on the team is a bonus.
